چکیده
SummaryBackground & aims Binge eating disorder (BED) is a frequent associated with obesity and co-morbidities including psychiatric pathologies, which represent big health burden on the society. The biological processes related to BED remain unknown. Based psychological testing, anthropometry, clinical biology, gut microbiota analysis metabolomic assessment, we aimed examine complex profile of obese patients without BED. Methods Psychological characteristics (anthropometry, plasma microbiota, blood pressure) 101 subjects from Food4Gut cohort were analysed decipher differences between Non patients, classified based Questionnaire for Eating Disorder Diagnosis (Q-EDD). Microbial 16S rDNA sequencing non-targeted metabolomics (liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry) performed in subcohort 91 39 respectively. Results exhibited an impaired affect balance, deficits inhibition self-regulation together marked alterations behaviour (increased emotional external eating). displayed lower pressure hip circumference. A decrease Akkermansia Intestimonas as well increase Bifidobacterium Anaerostipes characterized subjects. Interestingly, revealed that higher level one food contaminants, Bisphenol bis(2,3-dihydroxypropyl) ether (BADGE.2H(2)O) derived-metabolite Isovalerylcarnitine. Conclusions Non-targeted omics approaches allow select specific microbial genera two metabolites characterize patients. Further studies are needed confirm their potential role drivers or biomarkers binge disorder. Food4gut, clinicaltrial.gov:NCT03852069, https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT03852069.
